Our History

The HHJGT is run today in keeping with the traditions that were started when the Tour began in 1984. A reasonable registration fee allows the Tour players to participate in the Tour season, at an affordable price, and provides them 7 exciting rounds of golf, friendly competition and a year-end awards banquet.

The 2025 HHJGT is open to competitive golfers aged 10-18 who have qualified thru our Annual Qualifying Day Tournament and the age eligible exempt players identified from their performance from the 2024 HHJGT Final Point Standings.

How Does the HHJGT Operate?

The HHJGT is an annual 7-event, single day tournament series where junior golfers compete and accumulate order of merit points towards the goal of tour champion in their age and gender division.

Q. For a junior golfer to qualify, they play the qualifying round and then it is determined if they make it?

A. Correct, an annual single round qualifying day tournament is conducted late May/early June to determine the junior golfer field for the 7-event tour season based on merit from their qualifying day performance measured against the field results to determine a qualifying "cut line."

Q. What's the cost to participate in the qualifying day?

A. $50.00 per competitor entry.

Q. Do you pay the $550.00 fee now or only if you qualify for the tour?

A. Successful qualifiers from the qualifying day tournament and exempt, age eligible, players from the previous years "HHJGT Order of Merit" pay the $550.00 competitor fee which includes all 7-events and a closing awards banquet.

Q. Are you able to advise when the qualifying date is usually held or if the date is published for this year?

A. Our qualifying day tournament, 7-event HHJGT schedule, and venues are released to the public on or around March 15th each calendar year.

Q. How do I register for the qualifying day tournament and pay the fee?

A. Proceed to our registration page to select the qualifying day tournament registration portal link, complete the information form, and remit payment by credit/debit card.

HHJGT past Champions and Tour players have used their Tour experience to obtain educational and golf scholarships throughout the U.S. and Canada to further pursue their education and golfing aspirations.

The Tour also provides a means for players to learn the rules of golf, the game's etiquette and how to compete to ensure their evolution as a golfer.

Rules Level 1 Education & Certification: Required for All New Competitors

Upon completion of the R&A Rules Training Academy you will be issued a Level 1 Certificate to submit to HHJGT staff .
